“The finishing work needs significant improvement”

We had Amelink install the Portola Plank laminate flooring throughout our apartment in July 2026. While the floor itself looks good, the finishing quality is unfortunately disappointing for the price paid (€4,891). Several issues were found after installation: the skirting board corners are poorly cut and misaligned at multiple points, two skirting pieces were left broken/snapped, the skirting does not sit flush against the wall in several places leaving visible gaps, and the rubber underlay is left exposed near one wall. We have contacted them to come back and fix these issues. The actual laminate laying was done well, but the finishing work needs significant improvement.
